About the Bloomington Polar Bear Plunge
All are welcome to join us – All ages are welcome – Children 13 and younger must be with an adult and have a waiver signed. Every person that wants to participate must have Polar Bear Plunge Waiver signed (we will have some printed on-site)
On the waivers please be sure your name is legible – when you turn it in to us you will get a green wristband – no one enters the water without one!! So get there early – get your hot chocolate, your t-shirts, and your GREEN WRIST BAND!!!
We will practice safe distancing (watch for signs regarding social distancing – but please have a mask for registration/t-shirt/donation tables. Its wide-open spaces and plenty of room for everyone to come out and wash away all your worries!! We may even have some sunshine! The plunge will take place no matter the weather – rain sleet or snow – the plunge is a go. The only thing that will delay or cancel is if there are advisories out for the wind chill. If you are traveling just check our Facebook group for updated information. We have only delayed once so you can be pretty sure the plunge is on!!
The “Plunge” will be at 10 am (sharp!) – Polar Bear Plunge Waiver signing and free hot chocolate and coffee will start at 9:00 am. The Bloomington Polar Bear will be on hand as well as photobombing pictures!
If you would like to help volunteer or make a donation the day of please email us and let us know – we will be able to take cash or check donations on-site – to pay by credit/debit card just click on the portal to the side – Boys and Girls Club.
Bring your own towels, and a warm change of clothes – plenty of room for everyone to be socially distant! – See you there!!
